The process of making a hyacinth offering starts with the sun-drying of stems for seven to eight days. The longer stems are preferred because they are easier to weave. These stems are then compressed to arrange them for weaving. The process of weaving is done by hand, with stems being braided and stitched to give the desired shapes. The product is free from the touch of a powered machine, making each piece truly one-of-a-kind!
